Communications Committee

Purpose and Objectives
The Communications Committee works together to facilitate accurate information among parishioners, parish staff, and the community. This committee coordinates closely with the Pastor and advisory councils for the benefit of parish and school.

A. Purpose:
1. Communicate information to our parish in an accurate and timely manner.
2.
 Provide an avenue to address current issues and inquiries.
3.
 Publicize and promote the mission of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish and the mission of St. Peter’s School in a positive way.
B. Objectives:
1. Identify and assess current methods of communication presently utilized by the school and parish.
2.
 Explore means of disseminating information and fostering dialogue, including these possibilities: A parish web site, Transpirings newsletter, Radio and/or TV broadcasts.
3.
 Provide that all information is truthful and unbiased.
4.
 Over time, develop assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of parish communication and incorporate improvements as new and innovative communication methods are developed.
