Have you been wondering how you can get more involved with your church? All it takes is somebody to ask for help and another willing to perform a simple act of kindness. Wouldn't you be happy to put the garbage at the curb for your neighbor? What if a relative is sick or out of town and a parishioner who is not able to drive has no ride to Mass? This list of help needed is easy to expand. Someone with a bit of extra time could aid a fellow parishioner who needs a boost. You can offer to be part of "Catholic Connection" simply by giving a name and phone number.
Volunteers Mary Jane Fleck (419-294-1296) and Pat Smith (419-294-4394) are the central contacts who will keep a list of willing and available helpers' phone numbers and accept calls from those needing help. When called these contacts will provide a name and phone number to the caller of a "helper" so a connection can be made between the parishioner with a need and a volunteer from the helper list. |
